In France, a month ago, appointed prime minister With Michel Barnier the first vote of confidence in the country’s parliament is ahead on Tuesday. Barnier survives the vote of no confidence presented by the left-wing bloc, as the far-right National Coalition (RN) does not intend to vote against the government.

According to RN representatives, the party does not want to create political chaos by overthrowing the government, but wants to see first what kind of actions the new government will take.

The New People’s Front (NFP) of the left and the greens became the largest group in the parliament in early summer elections. President Emmanuel Macron however, refused to appoint a left-wing candidate as prime minister. The minority government of Barnier, who previously served as the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, among other things, is formed from right-wing and center-right parties.

According to political experts, Barnier’s government is practically at the mercy of the far right to stay afloat.
