Which character is it about? Celebrimbor is an incredibly important figure in the world of Middle-earth. He forged the titular rings of power, which were subsequently passed down to elves, dwarves, and men. Sauron himself had given him this task in a disguised form, and in the end he forged the One Ring for himself.
Celebrimbor dies during the second season of The Rings of Power. This marks the departure of an important character from the series, whose actions essentially led to the events of The Lord of the Rings.
For the character’s actor, Charles Edwards, the journey is over. However, he received a farewell gift that he did not expect.

Not for the faint of heart
What was there to say goodbye? After filming ends, actors are often allowed to take a prop or even a costume home with them as a souvenir. In the case of Charles Edwards, however, the production had a different idea.
The actor received a small miniature model showing his character Celembrimbor being impaled on a tree. This is a recreation of a scene that appears similar to the one in the series. In a vision of Galadriel, Celembrimbor is already dying a gruesome death – not unlike his actual demise at the hands of Sauron’s arrow fire. Galadriel herself is one of two characters who were changed for the series.
As Edwards told GamesRadar+, the model was a small version of the scene made during the series’ conception phase. Although the actor would have preferred to take a different prop home with him, the morbid model still makes him happy.
The end of the 2nd season was quite dramatic, and things are likely to continue in a similar way in a 3rd season. However, it has not yet been officially confirmed by Amazon. Charles Edwards will probably no longer be there. It’s a shame, because he really worked hard: for the Amazon Lord of the Rings series, there was an expert who taught the actors Tolkin language
