A doctor in the UK admits to attempting to kill his mother’s partner – with a dose of fake covid-19 vaccine.

The 53-year-old doctor, now on trial in Newcastle, donned full protective gear in January and went to the mother’s partner’s home, where he pretended to give the 72-year-old victim a booster dose of vaccine.

According to the indictment, the syringe was instead probably filled with some type of pesticide. As a result of the injection, the victim developed necrotizing fasciitis, a rare flesh-eating disease, and was forced to amputate parts of his arm.

According to the prosecutor, the motive was financial, as the doctor assumed that the 72-year-old stood between him and a potential inheritance from the mother.

  • Hanged out Pride flag as political protest

    Photo: Björn Lindahl

The man who a week ago broke a window and hung a pride flag in the Moroccan embassy in Stockholm did it to protest Morocco’s policy, writes Alkompis.

    – He is protesting against what he considers to be a lack of human rights, LGBTQ rights and religious freedom, says the man’s lawyer Majeed Alnashi to the news site.

The man entered the embassy armed with a knife, scrawled slogans on the walls.

According to Majeed Alnashi, the man hopes the court will take the political motive into account.

    – He is clearly sorry to have to take an action that causes him to be arrested and possibly convicted, but this was, in his opinion, the only way to let these issues come to the surface, Alnashi tells Alkompis.

The man was arrested at the embassy.

  • Two men arrested after suspected rape

During the morning, two men suspected of rape were detained in Karlstad municipality, says police officer Anders Dahlman.

It was also during the morning that the police became aware of the suspected crime.

    It must have happened indoors.

    – Whether we are looking for more suspects is nothing that I know of, says Dahlman.

  • Boy arrested for shooting – shot during arrest

The person arrested after yesterday’s attempted murder in connection with the shooting at the Kungsmässan shopping center in Kungsbacka is a boy under 15, the police confirm.

He is now suspected of aggravated weapons offense and two counts of attempted murder. This is because additional shots were fired in connection with the arrest, the police write.

    – When he flees the scene, he fires more shots but fortunately does not hit anyone. It further explains the case of attempted murder. I don’t know how many plaintiffs there are in that case, says Jens Andersson at the police in Väst.

Initially, three people who were in the mall intervened and detained the boy before police and security guards arrived at the scene.

He is now deprived of his liberty and placed in a Sis home.

The rape must have taken place at the beginning of October.

The detention hearing on Sunday took place behind closed doors, reports Eskilstuna Kuriren.

The prosecutor believed that it was important to detain the man pending further investigation.

    The man denies wrongdoing.

    – It is absolutely horrible. However, we must be clear that this is under investigation and he is a suspect. But of course it’s absolutely terrible, says headmaster Henrik Ljungqvist to the newspaper.

  • The leader of the death squad is acquitted of murder

A 43-year-old man with a protected identity was shot to death at a hamburger restaurant in the Boländerna area in Uppsala on April 1, 2017.

For a long time the murder seemed to remain unsolved – but in 2020 there was a breakthrough in the investigation.

In the district court, Zakaria “Shobre” Amin was sentenced to 17 years in prison for the murder.

The District Court stated in its verdict that the murder had “character of pure execution with massive shelling of NN”.

The 28-year-old was sentenced to less than ten years in prison in the district court.

Now the Court of Appeal changes the sentence for the 28-year-old who is acquitted of responsibility for the murder.

    – The Court of Appeal sentences one of the two defendants for the shooting death in Uppsala and for other crimes to 17 years in prison. The evidence against the other man is troubling for him but not sufficient for a conviction, says Court of Appeals Councilor Henrik Matz in a statement.

  • 11-year-old driven to death in Märsta – man acquitted

A 28-year-old man is acquitted of causing the death of another after a rampage in Märsta in June 2023 where an 11-year-old boy died.

According to the district court, the prosecutor has not been able to prove that the man was negligent when the collision took place.

The boy was out cycling when the driver hit him. The man called 112 himself after the accident, according to Aftonbladet’s information.

According to documents, the man has been insane before. He is connected to the criminal Märsta network.

    – From the investigation in the case, the district court has not been able to determine what it looked like from the direction the boy came cycling. It has also not been possible to say with certainty that the man did not adjust the speed to the conditions on the spot, says Karl Axel Öberg, councilor in a press release.

Correction: An earlier version stated that the man ran a red light. This is incorrect.

The police have started a preliminary investigation into incitement against a group of people after a demonstration at Möllevångstorget in Malmö on Sunday.

    – Derogatory statements against Jews are said to have been made, says Nils Norling, police spokesperson in Malmö.

It appears on social media that the statement must have taken place in connection with a pro-Palestinian demonstration. In a video clip, a speaker can be heard talking about the state of Israel and that “it is in their genes to kill people”.

The report came in from a private person. It is now being investigated by the police’s special group against activities threatening democracy.
