US Republican Party presidential candidate Donald Trump’s Melania’s spouse has now spoken for the first time in a TV interview about his position on abortion.
Melania Trump said in an interview with the Fox News channel that he believes in the freedom of the individual and does not want the government to interfere with his privacy.
– I want to decide for myself what I do with my body, Trump said.
Melania Trump said her husband knows about her position on abortion, which is at odds with the views of Donald Trump and his party.
Donald Trump has previously taken credit for overturning a federal law regulating abortion rights when he appointed conservative justices to the Supreme Court.
In the election campaign, however, he has now softened his speeches in order to attract mobile voters behind him. Among other things, Trump has stated that he does not support a national abortion ban.
Melania Trump’s position on abortion became public earlier when she started promoting her book, which will be published this month, in which she talks about her views on social media.
