S sawing by the government: Passives in the UN linked to Israel’s actions

A year after Hamas’s bloody attack on Israel, and Israel’s response to the attack, there is much to criticize in the government’s policies. This is according to Morgan Johansson, foreign policy spokesperson for the Social Democrats.

He points in particular to votes in the UN where Sweden, according to Johansson, did not stand up for international law.

– Just take the support for the international court and their decision this summer, which is about Israel having to leave the occupied territories. When it was tested by the UN, it was a long list of countries that supported the decision – but not Sweden, he says.

Foreign Minister Morgan Johansson (S) and Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) meet in SVT’s Agenda. See the entire program here.
