  • Slits the throat of the wife’s cat – convicted of aggravated animal cruelty

Several children were witnesses when a 60-year-old man cut the throat of his wife’s cat in a community in Västerbotten, VK reports.

The man claims he did it out of mercy because the cat was seriously ill, and he couldn’t afford to take it to a vet.

The gruesome incident took place in October last year. The man regrets that he did it in front of the children.

    – If I had been this wise in retrospect, I could have gone behind the house, he says to VK.

The man is now sentenced for aggravated animal cruelty to a suspended sentence and community service for 160 hours.
