A knee injury keeps Real Madrid’s Dani Carvajal out of action for several months.
Member of the captaincy of the Spanish football giant Real Madrid Dani Carvajal has to be sick for several months due to a knee injury. Fullback Carvajal injured himself in the closing minutes of Saturday night’s match against Villarreal and fell to the surface of the grass in pain.
Carvajal was taken off the field on a stretcher.
– In his (Carvajal’s) right leg, a torn anterior cruciate ligament, a torn external collateral ligament and a torn hamstring have been diagnosed, Real Madrid confirmed in their press release.
Carvajal, 32, was one of the key players of the Spanish national team when the team won the European Championship in the summer. Carvajal has won the Champions League in a Real Madrid shirt no less than six times.
Real beat Villarreal at home 2-0 and secured their position in second place in the Spanish league. The Madrid club also said that the winger Vinicius Junior hurt his neck during the match.
