Biologist Luc Hoogenstein is amazed by the diversity of species in Omar’s allotment garden. The garden has woodpeckers, brown frogs, many butterfly and insect species and recently Omar even saw a polecat. Luc does not dare to predict how many total species there would be in his garden. “There must be a lot of them. You have water, old leaf material, mosses, old wood, maybe if you look very carefully you can get to 2,500.”
