The police tried to control a car at Allégatan in Borås at 2 am on Sunday. The driver then drove away from the scene and the police followed.
– When the car is stopped at Södra torget, the driver runs from the scene, says police spokesperson Thomas Fuxborg.
Two people remain and are arrested after a gun is found in the car.
The driver, who is known to the police, is still at large.
The weapon has been seized and the police have started a preliminary investigation into serious weapons offences.
