Timrå is heading for victory in the derby

Timrå was knocked out in the “Surströmmings derbyt”.
The team won 6-0 at home against Modo – whose efforts were well looked after.
– We get eaten time and time again, says the guests’ coach Mattias Karlin in TV4 Play.

Sebastian Hartmann opened the scoring in the first period after preparation from Filip Hållander, who broke into the box from his position behind the extended goal line.

The rebound finally ended up with Hartmann, who was able to score his second goal of the season to make it 1–0.

2-0 came after the break when Jonathan Dahlén dropped the puck to Pontus Nässén whose shot was saved by Lassi Lehtonen.

However, the Finn did not manage to keep the rebound which Dahlén himself was able to put into the net.

“Can’t stand four guys…”

Soon after, the third came after Modo played carelessly in the offensive zone and invited Timrå to a party situation, which Oliver Johansson took advantage of.

After the goal, TV4’s expert Petter Rönnqvist criticized the guests’ actions:

– It’s far too bad play up in the attack zone, you can’t stand with four guys up in the goal yard and then put a chance puck in when you only have one man on the blue line.

“Fuck what pressure”

Timrå continued to fire on all cylinders even in the third period where they doubled their lead to six.

This after goals from Magnus Pääjärvi, one more from Jonathan Dahlén and one from Anton Wedin.

– It doesn’t last at this level, says Modo coach Mattias Karlin in TV4 Play.

Timrå’s self-raised Filip Hållander – who scored four points in the match – was in turn almost moved in the interview afterwards.

– Damn what a pressure it was today, he says.

– I have stood in that heel since I was six or seven years old and have family in Ö-vik, so it is special.
