20:12 – “Become aware that you must live fully..”
The first single from Kendji Girac’s album is revealing of his state of thinking. “If only” is a piano ballad full of regrets and messages for his fans. “On the stage I left my smile (…) Sorry if I preferred to destroy myself”. By presenting it at the end of the summer, the singer called his admirers to witness in a video dressed all in white by the sea: “This is the first time that I speak to you in this song because it ‘it’s you, my audience, who has been there from the beginning’ […]. I had to make a song just for you.” A series of questions and answers followed more recently on Instagram with his subscribers, where he reiterated his desire to “Live”: “Live is a very strong word. Realizing that you have to live fully, because you are lucky enough to be able to do so, it’s just enormous,” he said. “To say to yourself that I have everything you need, all these instruments, all these friends, all these concerts, all these people who can come. You might as well do it thoroughly.” With the new album, a tour is planned to celebrate his ten-year career.
20:05 – “Regain your confidence”
At the end of June, Kendji Girac asked for forgiveness again in video. “I almost lost my life, the love of my family, my audience, my friends. My daughter almost lost her father. I don’t know what happened,” he says. “It’s up to me now to show you who I am, to regain your trust. It takes action and I will do everything to live up to it.” He then already announces a return: “I look forward to seeing you again, see you very soon”. In July, Paris Match featured him on the cover in the middle of a sports session, a sign of serious recovery. He then announced a single for September (“If only…” which will actually arrive on August 30) followed by an album, published on October 4.
19:52 – Kendji Girac has never cut the link with his fans
Before the final of The Voice Kids, Kendji Girac did not remain completely silent. From April 25, a few days after the accident, he will send a message through the public prosecutor of Mont-de-Marsan, assuring his fans that he is convalescent and that he “regrets to all those who “have endured all these years, and whom he hopes to see again soon, that this event has occurred.” On social networks, from May 10, he will publish a first message in which he assures that he is taking care of himself and resting. He is later seen on Instagram apologizing to his fans for “all the pain and worry” he has caused them, promising to “come back even stronger thanks to (them)” and to “let this period of ( his) life behind (him)”. All without ever giving too many details about the events or the alcohol problems that may have been mentioned at the time.

Since the accident which took place in Biscarrosse, at a reception area for travelers, on the night of April 21 to 22, Kendji Girac has tried to reconnect with his audience above all, avoiding any major media mass and even more so those where he has to explain himself (like Sept à Huit). Winner himself of The Voice in 2014, Kendji therefore chooses TF1 for his big comeback in a program which fits perfectly with his image as a good young man in all respects. An image that will have to be restored.

The return of Kendji Girac, after what was presented as a “fake suicide” barely five months ago, when he shot himself in the chest with a gun, is precise. The 28-year-old singer unveiled a sixth album this Friday, entitled “Vivre…”, a word perfectly chosen to make people forget without avoiding the dramatic events of spring. A quick return to his audience, especially to try to pick up the thread of a career marred by these events.

The final of The Voice Kids will bring together an audience of stars, like every year. Jenifer, Yseult, Jérémy Frérot, came to the TF1 set to support the young contenders but also Kendji Girac, who is making his big media comeback after being shot and wounded last April. To understand how this final will be divided, you must therefore remain focused. The first part of this epilogue of The Voice Kids was recorded between 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. this Saturday and it is this part which will be broadcast from 9:10 p.m. on TF1. The live broadcast will only take over at the end of the evening, when the duplex with Slimane is established. We should then be at the time of the final duel or even at the announcement of the winner. 19:10 – Slimane duplex at the end of the final
During this final, we will therefore have to do without the presence of Slimane who must have been missed by his finalist Coline. TF1, on the other hand, announced that we could find the singer live this time, at the very end of the show. After his concert, Slimane will be in duplex from his dressing room for the last part of the program and in particular the final duel, when only two candidates will remain qualified. He will thus be able to support Coline, if the young teenager is one of the last two finalists of course.

Hello and welcome to this live broadcast dedicated to the final of The Voice Kids this Saturday evening, on TF1. First key information of the evening: the first channel has decided not to broadcast this final live, one of the coaches of the budding artists, Slimane, being in concert in Belgium at the time of the broadcast. The candidate for the last edition of Eurovision performs in Forest. A good part of the show was therefore recorded a little before its broadcast and will therefore be followed with a slight delay.
