External Affairs Minister of India Subrahmanyam Jaishankar emphasizes that it is a multilateral event.
According to the foreign minister, the visit organized in the middle of this month “includes media interest, but bilateral relations are not discussed”.
Relations between the nuclear neighbors have been problematic for decades, especially over control of the Kashmir region. India and Pakistan froze diplomatic relations in 2019 after a brief border clash.
