BBC sources including the Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba can return to the playing fields soon. The 31-year-old star’s doping ban is about to shorten from four years to 18 months.

In February, Pogba was banned for four years after he was caught using banned substances in September 2023.

Pogba appealed the sentence to the International Court of Appeal for Sport (CAS) and this appeal has yielded results, according to the BBC. CAS has not yet commented on the matter to the BBC.

Director of CAS Matthieu Reeb confirmed the decision, however for Reuters.

The French star is thus fit to play in March next year. He can return to training in January.

Pogba won the World Cup with France in 2018.
