Each year, the specialized site European Best Destinations establishes a ranking of the “Best Destinations in Europe”, based on the votes of more than a million travelers from 172 countries. This year 2024, it is a historical and cultural region in the north-east of France which has surprisingly carved out a place in the top 20 of the ranking, among more conventional dream destinations such as London, Florence or even Siena.
