Police blotter: Brant OPP charges four people with spousal assault

County of Brant OPP have laid charges in separate incidents of intimate partner violence.

A 34-year-old Milton resident has been charged with assault, and assault – spousal after police were called to a report of an assault after-the-fact at an address in the County of Brant just before 11 am on Monday, September 23 .

A 37-year-old Brantford resident faces two counts of assault – spousal after police were called to an address in County of Brant at about 8:20 pm on Thursday, September 26.

On Sunday, September 29 police were sent to a County of Brant address where an argument occurred within the residence resulting in two persons being physically assaulted.

Police have charged a 42-year-old County of Brant resident with assault with a weapon – spousal, and assault.

At approximately 6:14 pm that same day officers were dispatched to a home where two people were engaged in an argument. One individual was assaulted, and property was damaged, police said.

Police have charged a 32-year-old London resident with assault – spousal, and mischief – destroys property or damages property.

Theft from storage unit

County of Brant are appealing for the public’s assistance to identify those responsible for a theft in Paris.

Officers were called just before 8 am on Monday, September 30 to investigate a break-and-enter at a storage unit on Summerwind Drive in Paris.

Sometime between 5 pm on September 28 and 7:30 am on September 30, entry was gained to a unit where a large quantity of tools was removed.

Anyone who may have noticed suspicious persons or vehicles or has information regarding this incident is urged to contact Brant OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
