Timrå’s back Lukas Pilö suffered a nasty injury in the SHL meeting with Växjö.
He was taken to hospital with an ankle injury.
– He will be gone for a long time, says Timrå coach Olli Jokinen to TV4 Play.
With just over two minutes left in the first period, stuck Lukas Pilö in the ice with one skate and got his leg under him.
The 25-year-old back screamed out of pain and after a while was rolled out on a stretcher for the onward journey to hospital.
“Gone for a long time”
Timrå’s team doctor Christian Rydin says to Expressen:
– It is an ankle injury. The investigation is not complete. We are awaiting a response, but we fear that it will be a longer absence.
