The leader of the notorious Los Suecos gang was heard today in Malmö district court – for the first time since his extradition to Sweden.

In the morning, he admitted to a case of serious drug crime. But when the prosecutor asked questions about weapons offences, the tone changed.

– I have already said that I am only talking about myself, said the 27-year-old in an irritated tone.

For several years, the Swedish gang Los suecos spread terror on the Spanish sunny coast. In their wake, explosions, shootings and murders took place.

The 27-year-old man, who is considered to be the leader of the group, was heard today in Malmö district court – for the first time since his extradition to Sweden.

The man is charged with extremely serious drug smuggling, attempted serious drug crime, serious drug crime.

In addition, for particularly serious weapons offenses and serious smuggling.

The trial is ongoing in Malmö district court’s security room.

The 27-year-old appeared in court with close-cropped hair and a beard and was wearing a white college jumper.

Admits a crime

He pleaded guilty to drug offenses in one case.

– He has been given a chance to be part of a deal with 33 kilos, which is then diluted to 55 kilos. The largest amount is taken to Denmark and a few kilos to Sweden, said Mikael Nilsson, the man’s defense lawyer.

When Lisa Åberg, state prosecutor, started asking questions about the arms smuggling, the mood in the room changed. The 27-year-old does not want to admit to any involvement in this.

– I’m not talking about anyone else, said the 27-year-old.

He repeats that phrase a few times, visibly annoyed.

The weapons crime must consist of the 27-year-old planning to smuggle in seven pistols of model CZ p-10s.

The weapons were said to have been in Holland and, according to the indictment, the deal was settled in Rotterdam – after an intense chat conversation between criminals.

Laughing in the courtroom

The prosecutor believes that the 27-year-old paid for SEK 29,250 and the money was handed over outside a hotel.

Then the 27-year-old allegedly tried to get the pistols to Sweden. The smuggling would take place via the port in Helsingborg. Because the criminals thought it was easy to get things in there.

Lisa Åberg read aloud from the part of the chat that she believes the 27-year-old is behind:

– You write like this: “Ok, mate, bring 10 blocks to Helsingborg. And the guns mate. Helsingborg is good.”

The prosecutor asks the 27-year-old why he writes like that.

The man meets it with silence.

Then she asks him about where the weapons were “stashed”, that is, where they were hidden before they were to be delivered.

Then the 27-year-old gets irritated.

– Surely it says at the end of the conversation where they are “stashed”? he says in a cocky tone, and believes that the prosecutor does not need to ask that question.

– I want to know where your opinion is, where they were “stashed”, says Lisa Åberg.

After that explanation, the 27-year-old snorts and laughs at the prosecutor.

– Are you laughing? says the prosecutor questioningly.

– I’m not talking about anyone else, the 27-year-old answers shortly.

Lawyer Mikael Nilsson understands that the 27-year-old does not want to answer questions about the weapons crime.

– The weapons have not been brought to Sweden. The police themselves write that they do not know when, where or if the weapons have been brought to Sweden, he says.

Wounded in triple murder

The police have long suspected that the 27-year-old is a central figure in the violent gang conflict that has been going on in Malmö. The conflict led, among other things, to a triple murder outside an internet cafe in central Malmö. Three men aged 18, 27 and 29 died. The 27-year-old was injured but survived.

The police’s hypothesis is that the 27-year-old was the target in this shooting. After this incident, the 27-year-old went to the Spanish sun coast. There, his business is said to have been drug trafficking on a large scale. As well as contract killing.

The 27-year-old and his cronies’ rampage on the Sunshine Coast was so violent that the gang was named “Los suecos”

He was later internationally wanted and finally arrested by police in Dubai.

Convicted of murder

When the 27-year-old was transferred to Spain, he was convicted of having organized two murders. Through a settlement in which he confessed, the 27-year-old was sentenced to prison for two years and 10 months.

Now he risks a long prison sentence, but his lawyer believes that in reality it will be short. This as the court must take into account that the man has already been deprived of his liberty for three years in Spain and over a year in Sweden.

– We will claim that the total sentence is 8-9 years. So he has a little left but will be able to take credit for what he has already sat, says Mikael Nilsson.

The 27-year-old is also suspected of preparation for murder and attempted murder, but charges have not yet been brought in that case.

Aftonbladet has asked state prosecutor Lisa Åberg for a comment.
