World-class player and Hall of Famer in League of Legends, Faker, is currently in Europe with his team T1 preparing for Worlds. He played ten normal games on our server EUW and even lost one game. But that’s not at all clear, revenge followed.
That is the situation: When professional LoL players travel abroad and play on foreign servers, they play with accounts provided to them by Riot so that they have access to all champions. Otherwise, with fresh accounts they would only be able to play with a very limited selection.
The entire world leader in League of Legends is currently in Europe because the world championships are taking place here. The first team from the USA has already been eliminated.
The local solo queue currently has a few more excellent players to offer than usual. But Faker did not play in the ranked category, but in the “normal game” category – without a ranking. Normally he would still have to get high-class players, but the system apparently doesn’t really work because Faker seems to be competing with prefabricated groups.
Four-time world champion Faker is the first player to be inducted into the League of Legends Hall of Fame:
Imagine you’re playing iron and suddenly Faker is on your team
Who was Faker playing against? In a screenshot, you can see that in a match from September 30th, Faker is on a team with an Iron player who only has 28 LP. Faker himself is still unranked. So did his other teammates.
Faker appears under the name “Hide on bush #61151”. Normally he would have to compete against similarly strong players, but he himself has an Iron player on his team, while his opponent has a Silver player with a weak win rate of 38%. These are low ranks in LoL.
Faker relaxes with Trundle on the top lane and loses a game
How did the matches go for him? Faker played a total of 10 matches and won 9 of them. He played in the traditional midlane, but also tried out the top lane, the bot lane and in support.
He usually dominates the matches, but also seems to play quite casually a few times and accepts a lot of deaths. With Lucian he first played a dominant 19:4:11 and then a mixed 4:3:4. As supporter Pyke, he obviously had fun dominating the match 10:4:11.
Is he alone there? Faker often plays with the same people. Fans suspect (reddit) that his playing partners could be other pros or ex-pros from T1 who are accompanying him to Europe. There are wild theories that a player named “Zimmer” might be Zeus.
Roach is probably a coach from T1 who still plays a bit. There is even speculation that head coach Kkoma could do a few more rounds with Faker – or is it supporter Keria?
Faker probably relaxes with LoL of LoL, but loses a game
Does he take the matches seriously? It definitely seems like fakers are here more for fun. He plays top lane champs like Trundle, with whom he also lost his only game.
Normal matches in LoL with buddies probably have little to do with serious preparation for a competition – that’s more likely to be done in internal training matches, the skirmishes, which are not public. Faker snacks on the normal matches in order to relax with LoL after a day of LoL.
But the one defeat with Trundle in the top lane was apparently enough for him and Faker went back to the mid lane, dominated 3 games in a row with 13, 11 and 16 kills and was named MVP 3 times.
Faker won the game in the screenshot with 11 kills. The Iron player on his team got 10 kills, maybe he’s a professional who wanted to do something different. It will be interesting to see how the Worlds go for Faker and whether “all roads lead to him” again: A hidden detail in the new song for the LoL Worlds 2024 gives you goosebumps
