Iran is resuming air traffic at its airports, state media reports, following a two-day grounding imposed after the country’s drone attack on Israel on Tuesday.
Both domestic and international flights were then canceled for security reasons.
The resumption of traffic is confirmed by the country’s civil aviation organization.
– After assuring us of favorable and safe flight conditions and an end to restrictions, airlines are allowed to operate flights, a spokesperson said, according to the state-controlled Irna news agency.
The EU’s aviation authority Easa has advised European airlines to avoid Iranian airspace until October 31, and says it is monitoring the situation.
Similar warnings have been issued for Israel and Lebanon.
