Hugo Larsson and Jon Dahl Tomasson have spoken out.
After the turbulent last collection, the 20-year-old is once again in the Swedish national team squad.
– We have had a good discussion, says union captain Tomasson.
Hugo Larsson was the big talk after the last national team gathering. Larsson was disappointed with the lack of playing time and the national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson’s statements about him.
After the match against Azerbaijan, where Larsson did not get any playing time, he said:
– I have told him that I would have liked to have seen that it had stopped between us. Some things should stay within the family.
Before the match against Estonia, Larsson left the national team with “a slight injury”, according to the Swedish Football Association.
“We talked”
Since then, Larsson has returned to training and match play with the club team Frankfurt, while there has been speculation about his future in the national team.
However, he is in the squad for the away matches against Slovakia and Estonia. This after a good conversation with the national team captain.
– I called Hugo, as I call all players. We have had a good discussion. We talked about football and life. He wants to be involved, which is extremely positive. What happened last time was a big deal in Sweden, but it’s not a big deal in the squad, says Tomasson.

Larsson was quickly back in training with Frankfurt after leaving the Swedish national team.
– Hugo was injured. He spoke to the medical team, also in Frankfurt. A minor injury. I can’t imagine a player not wanting to play for the national team. Of course he was injured, says Tomasson.
He continues:
– Secondly. There were many emotions and he is ambitious. I’ve been there myself. It’s okay to be disappointed. Everyone wants to play but only eleven can start.
Isak misses
One who, however, misses the next collection is the star striker Alexander Isak which is damaged. At the same time, the team captain is Victor Nilsson Lindelöf back after injury.

It is also notable that four goalkeepers have been withdrawn:
– Robin (Olsen) has had a head injury and has been away for a long time. Robin has to get through this week and do the right things, follow protocol. So we’ll see if he can join on Monday or not, says Tomasson.
