Speed pedelecs who ride on a cycle path without an exemption can be fined. Municipalities participating in the trial use boas and mobile license plate cameras, just like with mopeds and scooters. According to the municipality of Utrecht, there are not many violations, and there are hardly any people who commit errors more often afterwards.
