In October, the Finnish men’s national football team will host Ireland and England in the Nations League at the Olympic Stadium.
The head coach Markku Kanerva named 25 players for October’s Nations League home games against Ireland and England.
Two new players were selected for the team compared to the September matches. Ilves Central Defender Juhani Pikkarainen got his first invitation to Huuhkaji. In addition Nikolai Alho returns to the team after injury.
Finland will seek its opening points in the Nations League in the October matches. In September, Greece beat Huuhkajat 3–0 at home, and England was stronger at Wembley 2–0.
Finland will host Ireland on October 10 and England on October 13 at the Helsinki Olympic Stadium.
