According to Xinhua, Xi was told about it by the Russian president to Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, when the countries celebrated the 75th anniversary of their diplomatic relations.
The Communist People’s Republic of China was founded on October 1, 1949. The Soviet Union, which preceded the current Russian Federation, recognized Communist China the following day.
