Konsta Helenius decided the victory for the Sabers in overtime

The NHL club Buffalo Sabers has sent rookie forward Konsta Helenius to the farm.

The Buffalo Sabers, who play in the NHL, have sent a Finnish forward Konsta Helenius AHL club to the Rochester Americans.

Helenius, together with nine other players from the Sabres’ Training Camp group, will head to the farm club.

The Sabers announced on their website that they would also consolidate their group in other ways, as the camp of the nine players who were on probation ended. In addition Scott Ratzlaff returns to juniors.

After the changes, the Sabres’ camp squad has 27 players. Among them are defenders from Finland Henri Jokiharju and the goalkeeper Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen.

Helenius decided Finland’s time in the training match played early on Tuesday for the Sabers with his 4-3 overtime goal against the Detroit Red Wings.

The Sabers begin their NHL season against the New Jersey Devils on Friday night in Prague.
