New humanoid robot GR 2 was unveiled Video

GR-2 was introduced on top of the GR-1, the first humanoid robot model put into mass production. The new model is a larger and smarter option in front of us.

Developed by Fourier Intelligence and almost its own weight (50kg) GR-2, which was introduced after the GR-1, which can lift up to 1000 loads, looks much more modern and is built on a technically more advanced infrastructure in almost every respect. The robot, which is 175 cm tall and weighs 63 kg, comes with much more sensitive hands than before. These electrically controlled hands can lift a maximum of 3 kg and offer 12 degrees of freedom of movement. The model, which has a 2-hour battery life, is equipped with joint motors that offer 380 Nm of torque, according to the company’s statement, and can walk at a speed of 5 km/h. The robot, whose production and commercial sales are not yet known, can be controlled remotely and can adapt to the environment with its integrated artificial intelligence system. Zen Koh, CEO and co-founder of the company, made a statement about GR-1 in recent months. “GR-1 can later become a caregiver or therapy assistant, serving as a companion at home for lonely elderly people.” he said and added: “The system can balance itself, walk and perform different tasks. We can program it to sit, stand or jump. “You can program the robot’s arms to pick up utensils and appliances and perform the tasks the engineers want.”
