JUDO The judo association immediately says goodbye to director of top sports Gijs Ronnes. For the future, the association foresees “a development that would require another director of top sport”, the Judo Association Netherlands said on Tuesday. The judokas performed disappointingly during the Olympic Games in Paris last summer. For the first time since the 1984 Games, the team finished without an Olympic medal. In France, Michael Korrel from Vianen, Noël van ‘t End from Driebergen and Julie Beurskens from Amersfoort took action on behalf of the province of Utrecht without success. (Tuesday October 1)
