The servers in Fortnite will be down on October 1, 2024. This is maintenance work for the new update 31.30. All content at a glance.

What happens when the server goes down? The servers are shut down for maintenance work. You can’t play Fortnite during this time.

Server down in Fortnite – when? The servers were shut down on October 1, 2024 at 10:00 am.

When can I play Fortnite again? That depends on the duration of the maintenance work. Typically, it would restart around midday. We’ll keep you updated.

When will patch notes be released? Epic Games usually only provides patch notes after the downtime, if at all. As soon as they are available, we will introduce them to you here.

Update download available

The update can now be downloaded on all platforms after the PSN server problems have been resolved.

Expect an update size of over 8 GB. You can’t play the update at the moment, the servers are still down.

So things seem to be slowly moving towards Fortnitemares, even if the full event isn’t scheduled to take place until mid-October. Otherwise, the update is apparently limited to new cosmetics, a small pre-event for the Fortnitemares and updates for Reload.

What actually ends up being in the update should become clear in a few hours.

If you want to log in to Fortnite now, you will currently only be in the queue. The servers are down and will probably only be accessible again in a few hours.

What else is going on in Fortnite? Everything is still under the banner of superheroes, even if the Fortnite birthday played an important role last week and, for example, balloon medallions were distributed on the map. However, the gameplay is still dominated by Doctor Doom, Iron Man’s weapons and other Marvel items.
