Gross in 1949. The first wireless product called Pager was introduced to the market by Motorola in 1956. Since their introduction, pagers have been widely used, especially by administrators and hospital staff. Then, many people who wanted to instantly monitor their incoming calls and voice messages started to use the pager device.

What does a pager do?

The basic function of devices called Pager is to detect alphanumeric and voice messages coming to the person by working without an internet connection. Therefore, the operating principle of this telecommunication product includes a call network. Especially in the period when mobile phones had not yet met with users, written and voice messages were transmitted thanks to these products. Devices that allow a message to be left to a person over the call network; It has become widespread in hospitals, workplaces, emergency services and security areas.

If the portable pager features are examined, it is seen that only short numerical messages are transmitted with the old models of the products. Thanks to technological developments, pager models have diversified and enabled the transmission of text-based and voice messages. A person using the device first connects to the operator and transfers the subscriber’s number or name. It is then possible to forward the message to the recipient.
