Let’s not confuse puffiness and dark circles. The first are edema of the lower eyelids. The second correspond to a variation in the color of the skin under the eye, which takes on a bluish tint.

Let’s cut short any legend. Unfortunately, there is no miracle natural remedy for dark circles. These are very difficult to treat because the staining is often deep. As for the pockets, on the other hand, the cucumber represents hope.

A good trick against dark circles?

Composed of 95% water, this vegetable is an excellent natural source ofhydration for your eyes. In addition, this member of the Cucurbitaceae family contains an active ingredient, elaterin, which would have the effect of relaxing and softening inflamed tissue. Not to mention the presence of vitamin K which facilitates blood circulation, thus promoting decongestion.

This is theory. In practice, few serious studies have actually addressed the issue. The benefit of cold

Clearly, it would seem that a simple compress of cool water placed on the eyes has the same benefits… So, a piece of advice when using it: cut two slices of cucumber and leave them in the fridge for about fifteen minutes. The cold will participate in the decongestion of the pockets!
