They see the same thing at the vineyard in Zeist, although Van Ede puts the disappointment into perspective. “You just have to deal with the seasons,” she explains. Last year she had a “super harvest”, just like almost all wine growers in the Netherlands. “But this year we had a lot of rain during the flowering period. That is normal in the Netherlands, especially with climate change.”
