Province of Utrecht – FC Utrecht will play against FC Lisse in the first round of the KNVB Cup. That club plays in the third division B. Hercules, the club that eliminated Ajax last season, plays at home against Premier League side Sparta. The draw was made by René van der Kooij, coach of Hercules last year, and Hercules striker Tim Pieters.
