The alarm about the accident came just before 11 a.m. on Saturday. A total of five cars and 12 people were involved. Initially, information emerged that it would be 13 people.
At first, it also emerged from the rescue service that a person had been taken to hospital for treatment, something that could not be confirmed. The police write on their website that there are no injuries.
Will be investigated
The road was initially closed in the northbound direction and traffic had to be diverted. By lunchtime the road could be reopened.
At half past one, the police write on their website that the accident will be investigated, which includes interrogating those involved. Possibly, it could be an accident of contagion.
– It’s a car that entered and caused the other cars to start braking, but we’ll see what the classification will be when we’ve held the hearing. The E22 is not a suitable place for questioning, and a lot of people were very shocked, says Patric Fors, the police’s spokesperson.
