Here, the 39-year-old scores his first goal in the SHL

After eleven years in the hockey league and twelve in the hockey Allsvenskan, Marcus Eriksson plays for the first time in the SHL.

The White Hästen icon left Södertälje for Skellefteå before the season and on Saturday afternoon he scored his first goal in Swedish hockey’s fine room.

He guided a shot from Axel Sandin-Pellikka into the goal to make it 1-0 to Skellefteå away to Örebro.

Saved the puck

Afterwards, Pär Lindholm was careful to retrieve the puck for Eriksson to save.

– I had bogged down two positions before, so it was good that someone shot at me so that it went in. That was what was required, says Eriksson in TV4 Play’s broadcast.
