Michel: Many fellow magicians are now increasingly using the word illusionist. In the classical approach, a magician is someone who does small tricks with his hands, an illusionist is more into the big spectacle. My card says magical entertainer. I think that pretty much covers it all for me, but I’m really not ashamed of the word magician, because it is precisely the coziness associated with that word, a bit of the home, garden and kitchen feeling, that is what what I want to radiate. So let me be one of those few in the Netherlands who proudly calls themselves a magician.”
