The second season of HBO’s The Last of Us will be released in 2025, but after the first trailer many fans don’t know if they’re ready for it yet. The series dares to tackle the harrowing story of The Last of Us Part 2.
What is The Last of Us about? The series is based on the games of the same name from developer Naughty Dog, in which a fungus transforms people into zombie-like monsters. In this world, Ellie and Joel get to know each other, and over time they form a close father-daughter relationship.
The second season will cover the story of The Last of Us Part 2. Ellie and Joel have settled in with his brother Tommy in Jackson, a small community. But one day the idyll would come to a tragic end. Players know the reason, the trailer for season 2 also suggests it.
