The roguelite building game Against the Storm is currently available on Steam for just €15 and is even more fun with the new DLC.
What is the game about? The popular game Against the Storm is about being a viceroy and constantly building new settlements in a world destroyed by storms. The game combines building and roguelite elements. You have to look after your residents, keep an eye on the mood of the impatient queen and at the same time carefully clear the surrounding forest, as reckless felling has consequences. Every settlement you build brings you loot.
However, after a while the settlements are destroyed by the all-destroying storm, but you receive rewards with which you can unlock permanent upgrades to prepare yourself for higher levels of difficulty. It won’t be boring because there are five peoples in the game who have different needs. It also offers you changing maps and different conditions in the settlements.

What does the trailer show? The beautiful new waterfront biome is home to the sublime and rain-loving frogs. They settle their territory in the peaceful greenery and build magnificent houses. From the runner’s harbor, the water strider plunges into new adventures and runs across the water to grab treasures.
1. DLC brings a new race with its own advantages
What is the most important content of the DLC? The new DLC Keepers of the Stone for Against the Storm has been released. Additionally, the game is currently marked down to €15. Frogs are now settling in the new coastal grove biome. The settlement is located right on the water, far away from the royal envoys and their support. The frogs are proud creatures, which is why they do not live in normal shelters, but in special frog houses.
There is a lot to discover in the area surrounding the coastal grove, and you could also come across hidden treasures during your expeditions. The new Runner Harbor building, which is only available in the coastal grove, allows you to do this. From there you can send a water strider on the hunt. All it needs is a source of food and it will look for treasures for you. You can also take on 12 new tasks that are tailored to the frogs’ abilities.
How much does the game cost? Actually, Against the Storm is available on Steam for almost €30. But with the current weekend deal it’s possible to grab the game for around €15. The new Keepers of the Storm DLC is now on sale for around €14.
Against the Storm is somewhat reminiscent of the novel Don Quixote. Only you are not fighting against the windmills, but against the storm.
