What the hell is going on in the SM league

In the SM league on Friday, a round of seven matches. Mikko Manner celebrated his first win at HPK.

There were seven matches in the ice hockey championship league on Friday evening.

HPK–Kiekko-Espoo 5–2

HPK, which changed its head coach on Monday, got off to a flying start against Kiekko-Espoo, when Eetu Tuulola took the Club into the lead after a few minutes. Espoo’s excellent Canadian reinforcement Peter Quenneville equalized, but Tuulola struck for a repeat of the opening set, now with the upper hand.

In the second round Christopher Bengtsson gave HPK a 3–1 lead.

In the third set Teemu Rautiainen and Samuli Aaltonen already moved HPK to a 5–1 lead. Arvid Degerstedt narrowed down to final numbers 2–5.

Mikko Mannerin in the lead, HPK has now grabbed four points from two matches and climbed to 13th place. Behind are Jukurit, Pelicans and JYP. However, a varying number of matches have been played. Kiekko-Espoo can be found in 11th place.

KalPa–Jukurit 2–1

In the Savo derby, blocking and catching ices were seen in full force. KalPan scored the first goal at the beginning of the second period Jaakko Rissanen by force.

Andreas Okany scored KalPa 2–0 at the beginning of the triple set. In the end, Jukurit was narrowed down, by the way Aleks Haatanen.

Jukurei has six losses out of eight matches, place 14. KalPa is in a tight top group in place four.

KooKoo–Sport 3–2

Kouvola was not surprised for long. Sport, which started its season well, took the lead in 16 seconds by Axel Holmström on the finish line.

HIFK rose to the top of the league with 15 points. It has five three-point wins from six games. The lock is on the eighth.

Aces–TPS 4–6

In the match between Ässie and TPS, goals were scored at a high pace. The first three goals were scored in less than four minutes.

In the middle of the match, Ässät led 3–2 Eemil Erholtz, Olli Palolan and Peter Tiivolan with goals.

The people from Turku had successfully booked a 21-year-old Buffalo Viljami Marjala and made a hat trick in the previous match Max Lindroth.

TPS hung in there, even though Ässät clearly controlled the game events in the light of the statistics.

In the third set, TPS turned the match in their favor. Lindroth hit twice in the third period, and they also scored Jean-Christophe Beaudin and Otto Salin.

Swedish winger Lindroth has been wild since the start of the season, already scoring seven goals and two hat-tricks. In the points market, Lindroth is second (7+3) and second in the goals market. Last season, he scored two goals for Frölunda.

Ässät produced 1.6 goals with six hits and rose to fifth in the series. Aces are on the ninth.

Tappara–Kärpät

The match in Tampere started about an hour later than others, because it was the celebration first Jukka Peltolaa. The Tappara legend became the seventh player whose number reached the ceiling among other Tappara greats.
