Man charged after family clash: Chatham-Kent police

A Tilbury man faces charges after a family dispute turned physical, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers called to Park Lane in Tilbury about 4:30 pm Wednesday learned a man clashed with two relatives during an argument.

A Tilbury man, 73, is charged with two counts of assault, police said. He was released with conditions and an Oct. 28 short date.

Woman gets threatening call, man charged

A man was charged after a woman received a threatening phone call, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers called to Middle Line address near Tilbury at 8:14 pm Thursday learned a woman had received a call from a former partner, who made comments about intending to cause her physical harm, police said.

OPP found and arrested a suspect in Cottam, police said.

A man, 24, is charged with uttering threats, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing.

Cops seeking one suspect find another

Officers looking for an Arson suspect arrested a man wanted in another case, Chatham-Kent police say.

Officers searched a Harvey Street residence in Chatham about 2 pm Wednesday after receiving a tip that a man wanted for Arson had been seen walking into the home, police said.

During the search, officers found another man hiding in the attic, police said. Investigation revealed the man had been arrested Aug. 19 in a mischief probe and released with a condition barring him from the home where he was found.

A Windsor man, 34, is charged with mischief and failing to comply with an undertaking, police said. He was held pending a bail hearing.
