A Secret Service agent is suspected of sexually assaulting one of Kamala Harris’ associates in the presidential election campaign, writes CNBC.
The agent is accused of forcing himself on the woman in her hotel room after dining and drinking with her and several other campaign staffers during a work visit in Wisconsin.
A Secret Service spokesperson told CNBC that it is “investigating an allegation of misconduct involving an employee.”
The agent has been removed from duty pending the investigation.
The Left Party in Gothenburg has decided to temporarily suspend Kristofer Lundberg, as chairman of V’s party association in Angered. It reports GP.
The reason must be that the party believes that he has not followed the party line and that he appears in an ongoing criminal investigation.
The criminal investigation started in connection with a tumult breaking out between Lundberg and social debater Joakim Lamotte, and both accused each other of assault.
The investigation against Lamotte was later closed.

Tropical Storm Helene was upgraded to a hurricane on Wednesday and is approaching the states of Florida and Georgia with stronger force than expected.
The authorities have thus declared a state of emergency in the states. Residents have been evacuated and schools have been closed, AP reports.
The hurricane is followed by heavy rains that can cause life-threatening flooding.
The hurricane is expected to reach the Florida coast on Thursday.
During a meeting of the Security Council in Russia, President Vladimir Putin proposed a change in nuclear doctrine.

The police, emergency services and ambulance have been alerted to a drowning accident at a bathing place in Nynäshamn.
The alarm came in at 4:30 p.m.

The person was awake and able to speak when patrol arrived at the scene.

Ukraine’s president warns of a nuclear disaster in Ukraine as he opens his speech to the UN General Assembly.
– That must never happen, says Zelensky.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy began his appearance at the UN General Assembly by talking about the morning when he was informed that Russian forces had fired shots at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.
– We in Ukraine all remember the disaster in Chernobyl, says Zelensky.
– Therefore, the fourth point (in a peace plan) is about safety for nuclear power plants, he says during the ongoing debate with heads of state and government.
He notes that Russia is targeting civilian energy structures in Ukraine, which leaves “our residents in the dark and cold”.
But Zelenskyy has already spoken out on several occasions about the Russian invasion war in Ukraine. The direction has been clear: Russia must be forced to a peace, according to Zelensky.
The emergency services received an alarm just before 15.30 on Wednesday afternoon that two motorists had collided on Länsväg 246 in Hagfors.
Emergency services are on the scene with police and an ambulance.
– We have taken out a person from one of the vehicles who was stuck with his leg, says Magdalena Andersson, group leader at SOS.
There is smoke coming from one of the vehicles involved and the forecast is that traffic will be completely closed until 16.40.
– We have no information about the state of the damage or how many are injured, says Magdalena Andersson.

There is a heavy fire in an apartment building in Hisings Backa in Gothenburg.
The alarm came in at 15:12 on Wednesday afternoon.
The emergency services are on site with a larger resource.
– The fire started on a balcony. There is a risk of spreading upwards towards the roof and the wind, says Lydia Bradaric, alarm and line operator at the rescue service.
Shortly after 4 p.m., the emergency services state that the fire is ongoing in several apartments and is spreading to the attic.
– It is a fully developed fire and continued risk of spread in the roof. We don’t have a forecast yet for how long we need to stay, says commanding officer Johan Eklund.
The emergency services have not had to make any evacuations of the building. According to the police, there is no information about any injured persons.
– We support the rescue service by keeping cordons around the scene, says Hans-Jörgen Ostler, the police’s press officer.
There is currently no criminal classification.
– All the focus now is on making sure no one gets hurt. After that we will take a closer look at the circumstances.

The damaged ship Ruby, loaded with 20,000 tons of ammonium nitrate, is now in the English Channel, according to Marine Traffic, which has real-time data on sea traffic.
The cargo ship has been denied port access in several countries due to safety concerns following technical problems that arose when the ship ran aground off the coast of northern Norway in August.

Now the Japanese news site states 47News that the missile landed south of Hawaii.
