Israeli Chief of Staff Halevi made the remarks during a drill simulating a ground assault by units of the 7th Armored Brigade in Lebanon.

Halevi said their goal was to return those living in northern Israel to their homes and that they were “preparing for a ground offensive maneuver” in Lebanon to achieve this.

Claiming that Hezbollah in Lebanon expanded its attack range today, Halevi said that Hezbollah “will receive a very strong response later today.”
Halevi said airstrikes were continuing to prepare the area for the possibility of the Israeli army entering Lebanon and to “continue to deal a blow” to Hezbollah.
The Israeli army announced today that it had decided to deploy two brigades of reserve soldiers to the north of the country ahead of a possible ground attack on Lebanon.

609 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES IN LEBANON
The Israeli army has launched hundreds of airstrikes on Lebanon’s southern cities, as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions, since Monday, September 23.
According to Lebanon’s Health Ministry, 609 people have been killed in Israel’s increasing airstrikes on the country as of Monday.
Lebanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigrants Abdullah Buhabib stated that the number of people displaced within the country due to Israeli attacks is approaching 500 thousand.
