Activists scribbled down the pillars at the Finnish Parliament

Activists have scrawled down the pillars at the Finnish Parliament building in Helsinki on Wednesday morning, according to Howl.

The pillars were scrawled with blood red spray paint. The activists sprayed the paint on eight of the pillars using fire extinguishers, write Swedish EPN.

The activist groups Elokapina (Extinction rebellion Finland) and Swedish Restore Wetlands are behind the demonstration. Through the demonstration, the activists want to criticize the Finnish company Neova’s peat mining on Swedish land.

The police arrived at the scene at approximately eight o’clock this morning. The Helsinki police have arrested ten people.
