Olli Jokinen, who took over as Timrå IK’s head coach for this season, got to enjoy his first SHL win on Tuesday.

The Swedish main league club Timrå IK had lost in the opening round of the weekend to league leader Luleå Hockey 0–2, but on Tuesday dug up an easy home win over Örebro with goals 4–3 in the overtime after losing twice in the game.

It was a win Olli Jokinen first at the helm of Timrå and as SHL head coach. OJ coached Mikkeli Jukerei for three seasons in 2021–24.

Timrå took the shots in the fight clearly 30–11. Örebro Robert Leino collected 1+1 points for the losers and has started the SHL season with five power records (1+4). The 31-year-old HPK breeder is second in the points exchange.
