Israel also launched attacks on areas between the towns of Kafr Dunin, Al-Sultaniyya, Tayr Filsey and Al-Khomeiri in southern Lebanon.

In a statement, Hezbollah said that the news from Israel that Hezbollah’s military commander Ali Karaki was killed in the attack on Dahiyeh was not true. It was announced that Karaki was in good health and was transferred to a safe area.
The statement emphasized that the allegations of the Zionist enemy that Karaki was assassinated were completely false.

WHO IS HIZBULLAH COMMANDER IBRAHIM AKIL?
Ibrahim Akil, codenamed “Tahsin”, who was targeted by Israel in the Dahiyeh neighborhood of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, is said to be the number two man in Hezbollah’s military wing. According to local sources, Akil, also known as Tahsin, is a member of the Jihad Council, Hezbollah’s highest military body.
The US State Department announced in April 2023 that a reward of up to $7 million would be given to those providing information about Akil, who is alleged to be one of the key figures behind the 1983 bomb attack on the US Embassy in Beirut.
Akil is also known as one of the figures behind several major military operations carried out by Hezbollah against the Israeli army, including the battles that contributed to Israel’s withdrawal from Lebanon in 2000.
US SENDS ADDITIONAL SOLDIERS
The US Department of Defense (Pentagon) announced that it will be sending additional troops to the region due to the rising tensions between Israel and Lebanese Hezbollah in the Middle East. In a written statement to AA, the Pentagon said, “Due to the rising tensions in the Middle East and the increase in precautions, we are sending a small number of additional US military personnel to strengthen the forces already in the region.”
In response to questions about how many troops will be sent and where, the statement was: “Due to operational security, we will not comment on specific details or provide information.” The US currently has approximately 40,000 troops in the region.
356 PEOPLE KILLED IN ISRAEL’S ATTACKS ON LEBANON YESTERDAY
