The lobster fishing started at 7 o’clock on Monday and a day later the first lobster box was sold at Gothenburg’s fishing auction.
25 suppliers had come in with “the black gold”. Who got the honor of selling the first lobster was decided by lot.
Last year the first lobster went for SEK 44,000 per kilo – the year before that (2022) the price was SEK 7,000 per kilo.
A larger part of the money goes to the Sea Rescue.
