Ice hockey: Linköping sank Djurgården after Haruka Toko’s show

Lova Blom, with four years in Djurgården, took Sara Hjalmarsson’s rebound and scored the expected lead goal for Linköping in the second period.

– Great that the puck goes in. We had some attacks with dangerous goalscoring chances, nice that it finally went in. We needed it, says Blom in TV4 Play during the period break.

In the third period, Linköping would sink Djurgården in the space of a minute – via the Japanese Haruka Toko.

The 27-year-old scored the 2-0 goal, her first goal of the season, and a minute later she made it 3-0. A goal that at first looked to belong to Hjalmarsson, but Toko then got the goal.

The match ended 3–0, and Djurgården now has four straight losses since the start of the season.

– I actually don’t have many words right now. We’re not quite there. We don’t shoot for rebounds, we don’t go for goals and sloppy passing. Sometimes we play well, says Djurgården’s Alice Östensson in TV4 Play.
