Spotlight Hour on September 24 – Start and Bonuses
When does the event start? On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. At 7:00 p.m. it will be over again and the usual spawns of the current season will appear again.
Which bonuses are active? You get double the candy for every catch you manage to make. This doesn’t just apply to Machollo, but also to current raid bosses or Pokémon from rewards, for example.
Can you catch Shiny Machollo? Yes, the shiny has been in the game for a long time and can therefore be caught in the spotlight hour. However, note that there is no improved chance of getting shinies and you will therefore need a lot of luck.
Is the spotlight hour worth it? Even though it has been in the game for a long time, Machamp is still one of the best Pokémon in the game, especially if you don’t have the stronger alternatives yet. It is solid in raids, in battles against Team GO Rocket, and you can also let it compete in the Battle League. The Shadow version of Machamp is particularly powerful.
