How evil can you actually be in Baldur’s Gate 3? “Yes” is apparently the answer that two players have found – and locked up Shadowheart forever.
In Baldur’s Gate 3 you have a lot of freedom of choice. Not only can you choose between “good” and “evil”, but there are often many fine nuances in between. And if you really try hard, you can also play completely insanely and cause as much chaos as possible. One player duo has also set themselves this goal – and in doing so, they have set new standards for evil. Because there has probably never been as much devastation as they have left behind and what Shadowheart has to endure.
What have you done? In the Baldur’s Gate 3 subreddit, Clean_Comparison_431 shares what he has experienced so far. He set out with a friend with the plan: to cause as much chaos as possible.
This is what they did:
The really evil deeds came later: They killed Balthazar. Then they wanted to kill Nachtliedto to become the Dark Justiciar – but they couldn’t, because only Shadowheart can do that. So they reloaded their save game and did something even worse:
They freed Nightsong, only to resurrect Shadowheart in the Shadowfell. Before Shadowheart can complain, they give her the Spear of Night – and then leave her there. Forever.
Shadowheart is locked up there. Forever. She can’t escape. She’s a prisoner, she’s basically become the new Nightsong. But she can still do her duty for Lady Shar. After all, she has the spear…
This is how the community reacts: In the comments, the two men’s actions are admired – although it is not entirely clear whether this is with admiration or disgust. Because many people had not imagined that the actions could be so evil and chaotic.
What is the most chaotic thing you have done in Baldur’s Gate 3? Have you separated from companions in an even more absurd way, like the two “heroes” in this example? Another evil act in Baldur’s Gate 3 is not heroic at all – you have to use children as weapons for that.
