Even before the actual broadcast of Season 7 vs. Wild, a dispute rages between two candidates. Joe Vogel and Stefan Hinkelmann argue about a party and allegations that are intended to put Hinkelmann in a bad light.
What kind of argument is this about? While the broadcast of 7 vs. Wild is still a while away, two participants are already causing some action. Stefan Hinkelmann from the YouTube channel Survival-Deutschland apparently did not receive an invitation to the official premiere of the new season. According to his own statement, he only found out about it from viewers in a YouTube video.
According to Hinkelmann, around 150 people were invited, but he, as a participant in the season, was not. Joe Vogel responded to his disappointed comments on Twitch in several Reddit posts.
In it, Joe Vogel accused survival expert Stefan Hinkelmann of having been invited and of the missing tag in an Instagram post with all the participants of the premiere being a pure oversight. Stefan Hinkelmann, however, does not believe it was an oversight and has now commented on the situation in a video on YouTube.
One of the participants in the new season of 7 vs. Wild is LetsHugo, you can find out more about him here:
“I am absolutely appalled”
How does Stefan Hinkelmann react to Joe Vogel’s allegations? The survival expert approaches the video objectively for the most part. Without showing much emotion, he shows in 20 minutes what he believes is a lie. The survival expert has a clear stance on Joe Vogel’s claim that Stefan Hinkelmann only had to ask and the invitation via tagging on Instagram would have been lost.
According to him, it is almost unthinkable that a “7 vs. Wild” party with over 150 guests, catering and guests flown in from abroad, as well as various big names from the German-speaking YouTube survival scene, can be planned and the participants invited via Instagram tagging. According to him, the invitation was not extended on purpose.
He also finds it unbelievable that participant Joey Kelly, at whose house the party took place, could not have reached Stefan Hinkelmann. YouTuber Stefan Hinkelmann shows in his video that Joey Kelly follows him on Instagram and reports that he regularly looks at his Instagram stories.
In his 20-minute video, Stefan Hinkelmann responds to many of the claims that Joe Vogel had previously made on Reddit. These include the points that claim that nobody wants anything to do with Stefan Hinkelmann. Hinkelmann says: “I am completely appalled by the nonsense that I am reading here.”

Why would Joe Vogel spread untruths? For Hinkelmann, it probably feels as if Joe Vogel wanted to put him in a bad light. The participant was particularly negative about the comments in which Joe Vogel suggested that they should wait for the broadcast and that they only wanted to protect Stefan Hinkelmann.
In the video, he also says that, in his opinion, Joe Vogel’s statements are aimed at portraying him as a “troublemaker,” “the pushy one,” and someone who tries to “stick his way into” everything. He says clearly: “That is the narrative that is being created here and I see that as a bit difficult.”
Hinkelmann also refutes the claim that Stefan Hinkelmann was blocked by Joe Vogel because of “telephone terror” by using chat histories in the video. He shows that the two had not written to each other for years and that Hinkelmann only gave Joe Vogel his number in May of this year. The last contact was a missed call from Joe Vogel.
Stefan Hinkelmann says: “So you see absolute nonsense being told here and deliberately false information being spread in order to put me in a special light. […]“
For viewers, the statement-against-statement situation is perfect after this video. Both sides contradict each other, but Stefan Hinkelmann is able to substantiate some of his statements, while Joe Vogel has so far only made allegations.
It is still questionable why Stefan Hinkelmann did not receive an invitation to the premiere and why the invitation was issued by Joey Kelly and not by the production team behind 7 vs. Wild. For many viewers, 7 vs. Wild is slowly becoming a jungle camp, and the arguments between the participants are already there: The new season of 7 vs. Wild is definitely turning the series into a jungle camp
