Teemu Pukin Norwich took his fifth win of the season in the Premier League. The team had last won in January. Pukki finished his team’s second goal at the end of the match.
Norwich took his first win in football in the English Premier League since January, when the Canary Islands defeated Burnley to a score of 2-0.
Teemu Pukki hit the ninth goal of the season and the final decision of the match in the 85th minute. The goal was third for Puki in the last five matches in the Premier League. The buck also scored a goal at the end of March in the Owls shirt in a practice game against Iceland.
Pukki, who was released free of charge near the penalty area, took over Mathias Normannin hard feed softly took over and turned towards the goal. The Finnish striker then took a few brisk steps and fired the ball with confidence into the lower left corner.
Seven minutes earlier, Buck was close to getting a free kick. The buck passed on the right Charlie Taylorinand the defender had to break Bukk.
Fortunately for Taylor, Pukki was awarded a penalty. Norwich was awarded a free kick.
The free kick routine saw the ball shifted quickly to one side of the box, then back to the other. Normann appeared on cue near the post, and steered it past the goalie. Pukki’s bouncy shot turned into a concentration, however Grant Hanley the butt hit the top ground.
Norwich finished the winning goal of the match already in the opening period when Pierre Lees-Melou had a brilliant opportunity to reply as he struck the ball from the corner of the pitch. The hit was the Frenchman’s first career career in the Premier League.
Norwich last won the Premier League on January 21, defeating Watford 3-0. The win was a series jackpot for Norwich in the Fifth Premier League of the season.
