For the general public who don’t know much about video games, seeing him arrive with a 3D alter ego is amusing, but for the industry and insiders, knowing he’s in the roster of an SNK fighting game obviously makes no sense.
And yet, CR7 as he is called and the former manufacturer of the NeoGeo have one thing in common: Saudi Arabia. While Cristiano Ronaldo has joined the country and the Al-Nassr club since January 2023, SNK was bought by Mohamed Ben Salmane in 2022 at 96.2%. When we know that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia is a fan of SNK productions and that he must also have a certain adoration for Ronaldo, the collaboration was obviously too tempting.
